day #1...

I woke up at 3:00 in the morning, got up, put some clothes on and headed to the airport (with my family of course.) Onece we got to the airport, we got our baggage "checked-in", went through security, waited for a bit, and then loaded onto the plane at about 6am. Then for the next 5 or 6 hours, we flew to Washington D.C. Once we got to washington D.C., we waited around for three hours, ate some great burgers, and played some card games. By this time I had lost track of time. Anyways, we boarded the plane and took a seven or eight hour plane ride to coppenhagen. (sorry, i don't know if that is spelled right.) once we touched down in coppenhagen on Friday, we took a few trams, had some trouble getting train tickets, almost boarded the wrong train, got on the right train, and zoomed over to malmo. We met up with our relative Marcus and he drove us to his house where we met up with the rest of his family, his wife, Yvonne, and his two daughters, Alice (3) and Livette (2 months). We spent the rest of the day walking on the beach, and going to Ikea. :) The jet lag was really bad and I fell asleep during a conversation with my mother and her great-aunt. whoops. andyways, the sun was up until about 10:00/ 10:30 and I fell asleep at 9 thinking it was only 5.

I will blog tomorrow about today! :)

and also, be praying that my cousin amanda and her family found somewhere to stay overnight on their way to the airport. They missed their flight to Malmo because a tanker spilled gas all over the highway in Germany near Frankfurt so the traffic got too slow for them to get to the airport on time. Their house was 3 hours away so it was easier to stay overnight in Frankfurt then go back to their house and make the whole trip again the next day. *Hopefully they will be able to meet us tomorrow!

first day of....

SOCCER.

ugg. not that I don't like it, I just feel so insignificant and lame next to all these club soccer players... like seriously, I have not one idea of what I am doing... ehh I have not played in like 3 years...

there is this one girl who I think is a senior and who scares the heck out of me and this other girl who I think plays soccer who I know is a senior and who likes to boss people around... except I guess she's above talking to freshman because she just looks at us in disdain.. yay highschool :) lol
and so yeah... I have to go pack for sweden because in like 30 hours, I will be on my way to the airport!!!!!!

Happy Father's Day! :D

yay! so high school wasn't so bad :) the freshmen were split up into groups of 2 or 3 with 1 or 2 high schoolers and then asked questions like:
what high school are you going to?
team edward or team jacob?
fav. place to eat? & fav. thing to get there?
worst gift ever received?
hidden talents?
what do you want to be when you grow up?
and then the high schoolers gave us advice.

I was in a group with Julia Thometz and Jennalee Johnson and our high schooler was Bethany (I think...) it was pretty cool :)
then, I went and helped out in King's Kids which is the classroom for the 5 and 6 year olds with Hannah Morris. I officially adore 5 and 6 year olds. :)

I GOT A 4.0!!!!!!

haha just had to get that out. :) and yeahh... tomorrow, I start high school at church! eep! I have no idea what to expect so wish me good luck!



oh yeah! I leave for Sweden in like 4 days so if you could pray that my family and I get there safely without any bad stuff happening to us like getting in a plane crash or loosing our luggage or one of us getting left behind at the airport, that would be great because if it were to happen to somebody, it would happen to my family. :)

bowling(:

On Friday, I had Meghan Buchanan over and we bought Little Ceasers Pizza (I have no idea how to spell that) and then McDonald's ice cream(: We then proceeded to have a picnic in my bedroom while listening to oldies. While we were enjoying our pizza (and did I mention we had crazy bread?) Meghan decided to text Reid and about us eating ice cream because of a cross country joke. He told us that he was in Nevada playing bowling. Now, the funny thing was that Meghan and I were thinking about getting together a group of people to go bowling, and of all the things in the world, Reid was bowling! (haha he got an 80 with bumpers) Anyways, we called about ten people from our list of like a hundred and asked them if they wanted to go bowling. Only like 3 of them answered, only one saying yes. So, we texted some more people and pretty soon we had a decent group. Meghan and I left at about 2:40 to go walk with Ryan to the bowling place because he didn't have a ride and on the way, we almost got lost in North Hills, had to call my mom for help, found a lizard, and named the lizard Fred. Once we finally got to the park where Ryan was waiting for us, it was like 3:10. Whoops! We had planned to go bowling at 3:00. (: While we were walking to the bowling place, I got the brilliant idea to ask my mother for a ride and Meghan, at the same time, was getting calls from people asking where we were and if it was alright if they were going to be late. She started laughing and said we were on our way, yes, it's alright if you are gonna be a little late, etc. When my mother finally picked us up, it took her about 5 minutes to get us to the bowling alley, which was good because it was 3:27. Ryan, Meghan, and I all walked in, joined the rest of the group, and had a wonderful time bowling. Julian was a crack-up, Jennifer was as blonde as ever, Kylee Cook tried crazy ways of throwing the ball, Lauren beat everybody except Ryan, Ryan got like a 150, and Meghan and I rolled gutterballs the whole entire game.
It was a good Friday.

ahhh!! so tomorrow is 8th grade ditch day!!! (: i'm gonna be spending the day at hannah morris's house with anna and kendall (and hannah) (: hehe we might be going to color me mine and we will be watching a bunch of movies while getting ready for our 8TH GRADE RETREAT!!!! yay!
